How to Use It
Getting started with Co-Producer is incredibly simple. The plugin is designed to integrate seamlessly with any DAW, making it accessible to all users regardless of experience level. I experimented with it using Ableton Live, and was making music only minutes after install. To use it effectively:
- Insert Output Co-Producer on your master track or main output in your DAW. This allows the plugin to analyze your session in real time.
- Let it Listen – Simply hit the record button, and Co-Producer actively scans your project’s key, tempo, and rhythmic elements. You can also manually change these.
- Browse Matched Samples – Instantly explore a curated selection of samples that perfectly complement your track.
- Drag and Drop – Once you find a sample you love, simply drag it into your session without breaking your creative flow.
- Enhance with Arcade – Take it a step further by pairing Co-Producer with Output’s Arcade to chop, manipulate, and transform samples into playable instruments.
After launching co-producer in Live, I had it listen to a production, and suggested samples that were inspired by ‘vintage, organ, surf, poppy, 60s, and retro’.
Co-Producer suggested many samples, which can be auditioned in the Key, and at the BPM of my current session.
Simply drag the samples onto the timeline and they will fit seamlessly into your production.
You are also given the option to Show Similar Samples, Generate Sampler in Arcade, or Open Kit in Arcade.
