Take Care by SIGNALS - Mix Contest #6

PARTICIPATE

Log in to your Waveformer account as a Subscriber or Pro Member.
Download the multitrack and readme file (1.45 GB) for Take Care by SIGNALS (you must be logged in to access the download link)
Mix or Re-Mix the song to the best of your ability in your DAW of choice (be sure to look at the Readme file for more details)
Level should be -16 to -11 LUFS (Integrated)
It’s recommended you limit peaks to -1. to -.5 dBFS (no inter-sample peaks)
Do not use 3rd party mastering services
Bounce a stereo wave file (48k/24bit) of your final mix labeled:
- FirstName_LastName_TakeCare_Mix.wav
Submit your re-mix using the Waveinformer Google Form for Contest 6

You can stream the single on Spotify or Apple Music.

Tracks delivered in requested file formats and specifications (see above).
Overall Balancing of Track Levels.
Spatialization and mono compatibility.
Treatment of the Frequency Spectrum–the overall mix isnʼt too bright/dull/etc. and elements were treated appropriately with equalization.
Treatment of Dynamics–individual elements and the overall mix are punchy, clear, and processed appropriately with compression.
Use of Time-based Effects including reverb and delay. This mix should sound lush and spacious without becoming muddy.
Overall Creativity–You are encouraged to take big risks in this contest. While the other criteria are important, we are giving special consideration to a transformative mix. Possibilities include:
- Augment or replace drums.
- Use dramatic filtering when the mix calls for it.
- Add your own elements if you so desire.
- Mute elements at key moments and make adjustments to the arrangement.
- Employ expressive processing including reverb, delay, compression, saturation, and more.
- Change the tempo if you like.

Winners will be chosen by the Artists and Producers of the original project on or about April 12, 2025.

1st Place: All Polyverse Plugins (I Wish + Manipulator + Gatekeeper + Comet + Supermodal + Filterverse) – $694 value

2nd Place: Polyverse FX Bundle (Filterverse + Supermodal + Comet) – $397 value

3rd Place: Filterverse – $149 value
